Asko Appliance Repair in Los Angeles and Orange County

Asko is Swedish, it is uncommon in Southern California, and that is the whole problem for the people who own one: plenty of repair companies will not take the call. We do. Asko dishwashers, washers and dryers, in the home, across Los Angeles and Orange County.

Two things are worth knowing before you book anyone for an Asko. First, the machines are built to be serviced - stainless tub, accessible pump, parts that come out rather than break out. Second, the parts are imported, so the honest sequence is diagnosis first, part ordered against the model number second, and a single return visit to fit it, rather than a van full of guesses.

Asko dishwashers

Most of our Asko calls are the dishwashers, and most of those are water that will not leave or will not come in. Before anything else, check the coarse filter and the fine filter in the bottom of the tub, and the drain hose behind the cabinet for a kink. Asko filters lift out by hand and go back the same way.

Asko does not publish an owner-facing table of codes; the numbers live in their service documentation. Two that we see often, with what that documentation says:

CodeWhat the maker says it means
F1Temperature stop fault: the water did not rise by more than about five degrees Celsius in ten minutes. Their own list of what to check is the heating element, the thermistor, the water level, the circulation pump, the control and the wiring - a technician's list, not an owner's.
F2Overfilling: too much water in the machine, seen by the pressure sensor or the float. Checked against the drain pump and blocked hoses, the flow sensor, the inlet valve, a leak and the wiring. If you see this one, turn the water off at the tap under the sink before anything else.

Fault codes as printed in the Asko 3,000 Series service manual, fault code table for DW 20.1-20.5, checked 6 September 2026.

A machine that is beeping and showing a fault, and that comes straight back after a power cycle, is naming a part. On an Asko the usual suspects are the drain pump, the inlet valve and the level sensing - all of them parts we order against your model number rather than keep on the van, because this brand is not common enough to stock.

Asko washers and dryers

The laundry machines are the same story: heavy, well built, and awkward for anyone who has not opened one. Common calls are a washer that will not drain or will not spin, a door lock that has failed, and on the condenser dryers a machine that runs but does not dry.

The two free checks: on a washer, the pump filter behind the lower panel; on a dryer, the condenser unit and its filters, which are the whole reason a condenser dryer stops drying. Both are made to be opened by the owner.

Booking a visit

Tell us the model number - it is on the sticker on the door frame or the side of the door on the dishwashers - and what the machine does and does not do. With an uncommon brand that first call matters more than usual: it decides whether we arrive with the part or have to order it afterwards.

We cover Los Angeles and Orange County, and the work is done in the home. We are not an Asko authorised servicer, and we say so: in warranty, call Asko; out of warranty, this is what we do.

Questions we get asked

Do you actually repair Asko? Most companies say no.

Yes. Dishwashers, washers and dryers, in the home, across Los Angeles and Orange County.

What does F1 mean on an Asko dishwasher?

In Asko's service documentation it is a temperature stop fault: the water did not heat as it should within ten minutes. It points at the element, the thermistor, the water level or the circulation pump.

What about F2?

Overfilling - the machine has more water in it than it should. Turn off the tap under the sink and call, because the causes include a leak and a blocked drain path.

Will you have the part?

Not on the van, usually. Asko parts are imported and this brand is not common here, so we diagnose first, order against your model number, and fit it on a return visit.

Are you an Asko authorised service company?

No, we are independent and we say so. In warranty, use Asko's own service.

How fast can you come out?

Same or next day for the visit itself. If a part has to be ordered, we tell you the wait before we start.
